Position Description:

The Vice President of Client Success reports to the COO and is responsible for leading and evolving the Client Success function, owning both client engagement and retention across three lines of business. This is a dynamic leadership role that interacts with every part of our business as a leading client advocate and voice of the marketplace.

What you’ll do at Wonderlic:

  • Own the client portfolio and help users achieve their desired outcomes with Wonderlic products and services
  • Drive client lifetime value for the business through adoption, retention and expansion
  • Identify common client roadblocks, objections and adoption failure points and build engagement strategies to overcome them
  • Help Wonderlic manage and eventually transition from traditional Account Management model to Customer Success
  • Standardize playbooks and train Client Success Managers to execute them
  • Own key metrics including
    • Gross and Net Revenue Retention
    • Client Logo Retention
    • Client Health
  • Own client support and service functions
  • Partner with leaders in the company including Product, Engineering, Sales, Finance to drive company performance
  • Recruit and retain top client success talent
  • Drive cadence of operational activity
  • Actively participate in client communities
  • Aggregate client/market feedback into themes and focus areas
  • Manage and diffuse client escalations

  • Gross revenue retention
  • Expansion bookings achievement


Experience candidates will bring:

  • 7-10 years in a client management role
  • B2B SaaS experience and an understanding of SaaS business metrics
  • Experience managing multiple delivery / go to market models simultaneously
  • Experience with HR Tech is a plus
  • Management experience in an account management or client success setting
  • Ability to manage influence through negotiation, persuasion and consensus-building
  • Experience working closely with or inside of a Sales organization
  • Analytical mindset
  • Superior communication abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree
